i-Car 03

The iCar 03 is available with two power trains:

1) RWD. Single motor. Power: 135 kW/220Nm. Battery: 50.6 kWh LFP for a 401 km range or 66 kWh for 501 km.
2) AWD. Dual motor. Power: 205 kW (135 kW rear and 70 kW front)/385Nm. Battery: 65.7 kWh LFP for a 472 km range, or 70 kWh for 501 km range.

Size: 4406x1910x1715, 2715. Curb weight is 1679 kg for the AWD and 1892 kg for the AWD.

[Comment:] Strangely, the RWD with 66 kWh and the AWD with 70 kWh have exactly the same range. The iCar 03 also appears to be under-powered. The top speed is limited to only 150 km/h for both versions, and iCar only released the 0-50 km/h time (4.5 sec for the RWD and 3.0 sec for the AWD) and not the 0-100 time. We see this regularly with electric city cars and such, but never with big SUVs. Odd. [/comment]

Pictures is the 70 kWh AWD version painted in a color called “A Little Gray”. The other color names are just as funny (translated): Really Annoying Silver, Not Banana Green, Sure Enough It’s White, and I am So Blue.

The interior looks nice, albeit slightly old-school with large air vents and a rotary dial on the center tunnel. Screens: 9.2-inch instrument panel and a 15.6-inch touch screen. ADAS capacity is limited: only 5 sensors for the base model and 16 for the top-spec car. There is no lidar on any version.

So it isn’t perfect, but it is very cheap. The price range starts at only 109.800 yuan and ends at 169.800 yuan ($15.2K – 23.6K).
